Real Spells – Focus on the Intent
What makes a magic spell a real spell? To answer that question we have to first look at what the purpose of your spell is.
The purpose of your spell will be to manifest something that you either need or you deeply desire. That desire or need, or even both will comprise your intent.
When you cast a spell, you must have a firm belief that your spell will work. This intent to cast a real spell is as vital to your success as any of your magical ingredients.
What exactly are you trying to achieve? What is your goal? What outcome are you truly seeking? How badly do you desire what you’re trying to achieve and accomplish?
Defining your intent really isn’t all that difficult. Most of us do it practically all the time. Each day of the week, we make dozens and dozens of choices that manifest themselves in a number of ways, and we do it all without the magical ritual of spell casting.
We may not always realize it, but all of our desires and intents constantly create magic in our lives. Despite our delight and astonishment when magic happens around us, we typically write it off as a simple coincidence and eventually we tend to forget about.
When we set out to cast a magic spell we need to be careful to define exactly what it is we want. This sounds simple, but for some of us it’s not. When you really think about it, we usually know exactly what we want right at this particular moment, but we don’t have a clue about the larger picture.
If you’re stuck in the trees, you may not be able to see the forest. As you think about what it is that you really want to accomplish when you cast your magic spell, be honest and make sure that you take your time. Remember, the goddess is never in a rush.
